This weekend I had the pleasure of joining the New Futures Nepal Team as they tackled Ben Nevis for charity. This is us at the summit having scaled Britain’s highest mountain, standing at 4049 feet. The “tourist track” proofed to be a monstrous misnomer (it is now called the “Mountain Track” on the official website), almost as big as the mountain itself. Rising from almost sea level, the approximately 3000 steps, scree and snowfields all represented challenges for the 8 hours or so we were on the mountain. so there were a few sore knees, calves and backs.
The marvellous efforts of the team have raised over £7000, which will go a long way to supporting people in Nepal. To read more about the charity and their work, please see http://www.newfuturesnepal.org
