It is rather sobering for me, at least, that in 24 hours time I will be heading to one of the most remote and beautiful parts of the UK. I say sobering as I am not sure how ready I am to tackle the 68.5 miles of the Sutherland Way. It all seemed a good idea at the time of signing up to do the charity walk for New Futures Nepal. But as I pack my boots and walking gear in my bag, I will admit to a little apprehension, as well a sense of excitement.
Thank you to the many people who have contributed to my fund raising. If you have not, you have not missed the chance and can still donate by going to the sponsorship website, details of which are posted here.
I will try to write a blog during the trek. Just watch this space.
